Dear Friends,
I want to encourage you to consider joining us for the 2013 Puritan Reformed conference, August 22–24. Once again, we are delighted to be hosting our event at the Prince Conference Center, located at 1800 East Beltline SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
When contemplating this year’s theme, The Beauty and Glory of Christian Living, I could not help but think of Thomas Manton’s description of the Christian life: “A Christian’s life is full of mysteries: poor, and yet rich; base, and yet exalted; shut out of the world, and yet admitted into the company of saints and angels; slighted, yet dear to God; the world’s dirt, and God’s jewels.”
It is our hope and prayer that you will find this year’s conference to be an encouragement in every area of your life. Consider asking friends and family members to come along with you to the conference. It is sure to be beneficial to every Christian, no matter their circumstance.
Our line-up of speakers include Dr. Michael Barrett (Academic Dean and Professor of Old Testament, PRTS), Dr. Jerry Bilkes (Professor of New Testament and Biblical Theology, PRTS), Rev. Brian Croft (Senior Pastor of Auburndale Baptist Church, Louisville, KY), Rev. Ian Hamilton (Pastor of Cambridge Presbyterian Church, UK), Dr. David Murray (Professor of Old Testament and Practical Theology, PRTS), Rev. Brian Najapfour (Pastor of Dutton United Reformed Church, Dutton, MI), Rev. John Tweeddale (Pastor of First Reformed Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, PA), Dr. William VanDoodewaard (Associate Professor of Church History, PRTS) and me.
In an effort to be a blessing to everyone interested in attending this year’s conference, we have kept registration prices well below our cost, not wanting to hinder anyone from attending. In fact, we have decided that children 18 and under, as well as college and seminary students may attend this year’s event free of charge. A college or seminary student’s spouse may register at the single day rate of $30 for the entire conference. However, donations to help cover our shortfall are most appreciated.
To register just simply fill out the online form at puritanseminary.org or mail the registration form on this year’s brochure with your check or credit card information to PRTS, 2965 Leonard St. N.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49525.
I hope to see you in August, Lord willing.
Warmly,
Joel R. Beeke
